Usually, I post my Random Stuff blogs on a Sunday, as a kind of look back at the week. But this week I don’t want to wait until the weekend, because my internet travels have brought something excellent to my attention.
Yesterday I came across the music video for P!nk’s new song, Try. And I have to say, it’s bloody fantastic!
I’m not massively into pop music, but P!nk has always been an exception. Not only is she full of talent, she’s completely fearless and happy to avoid fitting into the pop star mould. She’s smart, and she’s not bothered about being the skinniest girl in school – and she puts her athletic skills to good use in her new promo.
Reminiscent of the video for one of my favourite songs from last year, Christina Perri’s Jar of Hearts, P!nk’s new video tells the story of a passionate relationship through dance and some pretty dramatic acrobatics, all set in the desert and an abandoned house. It really captures the essence of the song, and I can’t stop watching it.
Stunning!
Also this week, I’m loving a really cute video of Knut the polar bear, who was the star attraction at Berlin Zoo, learning to walk.
Plus, I’m on the O2 network, but I never knew their customer service team had such an amusing sense of humour…
