This week I’m going for a themed Random Stuff post.
I’m a massive dog lover, and there are so many hilarious and adorably cute articles on the internet about dogs.
Anyone who owns a dog will know that, no matter how much you love them, sometimes they can be infuriatingly naughty. Whether you’ve left them home alone too long and they’ve destroyed your favourite shoes, or you’ve turned your back for ten seconds only to discover they’ve eaten your lunch, dogs get up to mischief.
These people have found a way to get revenge on their pets, by shaming them for their doggy crimes in a hilarious fashion. My favourite is the dog who likes to bark at his own farts!
We like to humanise our pets and it can be great fun imagining what they might be thinking. But imagine what your dog might say if he spent the day texting you while you were at work!
And nothing can beat photos of cute puppies sleeping – guaranteed to cheer you up when you’re having a bad day.
But this is a writing blog, and dogs do have a place in the literary world. This summer I read a sweet and moving novel, which was written from a dog’s perspective.
A Dog’s Purpose, by W. Bruce Cameron, follows the story of one dog as he tries to find meaning for his existence over the course of several lives. If you enjoyed Marley and Me, then look out for this novel.

Thanks for your comment, Julie! ‘A Dog’s Purpose’ was great, but it’s a bit of a weepy in places!
