It’s that time of the month already: here’s my reading roundup for April, which is the first time that all my reading has been done on the Kindle – no paperbacks here!
Compared to the other months so far this year, I haven’t managed to finish as many novels, but that’s mainly because I’ve been on A Song of Ice and Fire kick and have read three of the books from the series. With Game of Thrones returning to our television screens, I’ve been completely immersed in the different versions of Westeros.
I’m hoping to get up-to-date with the novels by the end of May and am on a mission to avoid all spoilers until I’ve finished reading. It’s going to be tough waiting for the final two novels to appear in print…
Also this month I’ve read two very different books, one a meandering reflection on a man returning home to Nigeria after years away, the other a German satire that imagines what would happen if Adolf Hitler mysteriously woke up in present day Berlin.
So, here’s the full list of all the novels I read in April. Affiliate links are included, so if you click through and buy something I make a tiny commission, which doesn’t cost you anything extra.
April’s reads
- A Storm of Swords, Part 2: Blood and Gold (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 3), by George RR Martin
- A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4), by George RR Martin

Oh, that’s impressive! I read quite quickly but it took me three weeks to get through each GoT book! That was a long summer…

I think I cheated a bit by using the Kindle app, it helps me read faster!
