I’ve been aware of the #1day12pics challenge for a while, but have been waiting for the right time to take part.
The challenge asks those participating to take a photo each hour, over a 12 hour period on one day. I first came across it on My Creative, who is one of the founders.
I’ve resisted joining the challenge in the past, purely because I think it would be a bit boring to post a dozen photos of me pottering around the house in my tracksuit bottoms, but as luck would have it, this month we were in London for our anniversary, so I had the chance to take some more interesting pictures.
I wouldn’t usually Instagram so many images at once but #1day12pics gave me a reason to focus on the details so that I had something new to photograph each hour. Some pictures are better than others, but I really enjoyed the challenge.

Just popping over from the #1day12pics link up to say hello! Great pics, I know what you mean about preferring to be out and about rather than just being at home- looks like a lovely day! Hollie 🙂

Thanks Hollie it was lovely! It’s a nice way to remember the day too as it was our anniversary 🙂

Thanks for taking part. It is great capturing the interesting days but I think there is also a beauty in capturing the simple days in between too.
Also need to read some Rilke. Did a bit of googling and he is apparently he is one of the ‘most popular’ poets in the USA. Admittedly never been to the USA but it is a little embarrassing that I had never really heard of him until moving to Trieste.

Thanks Michelle, Rilke is brilliant although haven’t read nearly enough of his stuff. Loved the challenge, but I think I might be a bit boring on a regular day, don’t think I’d manage 12 great pictures but I might give it a go next time!

I was in London too for the day, it was great seeing your photos pop up and wondering if I’d just missed you. Especially on the bus.

Ha you wouldn’t have missed us, my hubby was struggling away on crutches! Hope you had a good day, the weather was (mostly) lovely!
