How many times has it happened?
You’ve come home from a long day at work, wanting nothing more than to flop on the sofa with a drink and a film (and maybe a pizza).
But you’ve already promised your friends that you’ll go out tonight.
Every bone in your body sighs and complains. There’s nothing you want to do less.
You consider making an excuse, crying off.
That sofa looks awfully tempting…
But when you ignore that little voice that demands you cancel your plans in favour of a lazy night in, what happens?
Chances are, you’ll go out and have a good time. You’ll discover that spending time with friends was just what you needed to lift your spirits and remind you how much fun you can have, when you want to.
You’ll remember that there are so many great people and places and things to do in life, if you’re willing to put yourself out there.
You’ll realise that showing up was worth it.

I love this. I sometimes need this little reminder – especially in winter when everything feels just that little bit *harder*.

This was a good post and I agree with your point. My husband and I are part of a paranormal investigation team, and sometimes I don’t feel like going on investigations / meetings on my nights off work- but I always go and we always end up having fun in the end (even though it literally takes all night haha) It’s worth it.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Tiffany! But also a bit cold at this time of year 🙂

I know that feeling all too well! I come home and would rather just watch TV, but know that I would have fun with my friends. In the end, it’s always, always better to see my friends! I feel rejuvenated and happier afterwards!
