When was the last time you stopped and just took in the details of the world around you?
When was the last time you took a breath and thought about all the good things in your life, and felt grateful for them?
When was the last time your mind wasn’t full of noise or worries all clamouring for attention?
When was the last time you let yourself rest?
It’s easy to live life at a million miles an hour, always reaching for the next thing, the next goal.
It’s easy to talk about mindfulness or gratitude or living in the moment, but it’s much harder in practice.
It’s easy to forget that you might not have everything, but maybe you do have enough.
It’s easy to be hard on yourself.
Life is a work in progress and no one ever gets it completely right.
But there are small moments that make everything worthwhile, if you only stop and remember to look for them.
