After a quiet few months, the last week or so has been pretty great –not only have I just been offered a new job, but this blog is shortlisted for an award!
The Northern Blog Awards are in their first year and are organised by Holly from WeBlogMcr, the Manchester Blogging Network. You can find this blog on the shortlist in the Best Arts/Culture/Literature Blog category.
I’m hoping to make it to the ritzy awards ceremony in September, but I need your help to be in with a chance of winning!
If you have a spare couple of minutes, I’d be super grateful if you could vote for me. The link will take you to a Google doc where you can select this blog (I hope!) from the drop down menu for the Arts/Culture/Literature category, enter your details and click submit.
Voting is open until 31 July.
There are some fantastic blogs also shortlisted in my category, so it’s going to be a tough competition, but I’m just happy to make the shortlist.
The other categories are packed full of great blogs too, so it’s worth checking out the full list if you’d like to discover a new favourite. It shows just how many talented people there are in the North of England creating content, not only on their blogs but on YouTube, Instagram and beyond.
It’s really exciting to be shortlisted in something like this, as it’s a reminder that spending so much time blogging is worthwhile.
And it’s the perfect time for me to add that I’m grateful for every person who takes the time to visit this blog and read my ramblings, especially those who stop by regularly and leave comments or interact on social media.
So if you do decide to vote for Ten Penny Dreams in the Northern Blog Awards, thank you, it means so much!
And good luck to everyone on the shortlist, hope to meet you in September at the awards event.
