This weekend sees the return of the Lumiere Festival to Durham for the fifth time.
It brings a series of light installations to the city, illuminating it in ambitious and unexpected ways.
I visited with friends last night and enjoyed exploring Durham after dark. Although we didn’t manage to see all of the installations, we caught enough to appreciate the sheer scale of the festival.
It runs until Sunday 19 November if you’d like to go along.
