It’s been a couple of weeks since I published a blog post, so it felt like a good time to write a brief update on what I’ve been doing recently.
Last week, I took a few days off work and we took a trip to stay in a cabin in Northumberland. It’s the longest break I’ve taken from work since Christmas and it was much needed.
It was lovely to spend a few days pottering around the countryside with hubs and the dog. I even got to visit the stunning Forum Books in Corbridge. And despite taking nine books with me for a four day trip, I still managed to buy another stack of books while I was there.
I also managed to break out of my 2018 reading slump and got through three novels while I was away. Success!
Meanwhile, my crowdfunding campaign is still ticking over. And after a slow couple of weeks without a lot of progress, I just got a new pledge, so I’m in a good mood!
A few weeks ago, I recorded a radio interview with Lisa Shaw from BBC Newcastle and it will be going out tomorrow morning, Friday 15 June. If you’re in the Newcastle area and you fancy listening in, I’ll be talking about my book and why I chose to crowdfund it, plus I’ll be joined by Rachel Kerr, Editor at Large from my publisher, Unbound.
Catch me on air at 10.15am!
Now I just have to decide if I can bear to listen to myself talk…
