Last Saturday was the first of the month, so it was time once again for the #1day12pics photo challenge.
After failing fairly miserably in September when I only managed half a dozen pictures, and not taking part in August, I decided it was time to get busy with my Instagram account, which has been a bit neglected of late.
Although Saturday was a fairly quiet day, it was actually fun to take photos as I got to capture some things from our new house, as well as documenting my afternoon constructing three packs of Ikea bookshelves!
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to hit the dozen images, but this month I managed a slightly more respectable nine.
The problem with a challenge like this is it’s easy to miss a couple of photos if you’re caught up with something, which means you need to take more pictures later in the day when the lighting isn’t as good. I could have taken another three badly lit pictures before heading to bed, but I decided I’d rather avoid snapping dodgy photographs for the sake of it.
Still, the pictures fit nicely around a home and garden theme, which suits my life at the moment!
